Mysuru: An assistant sub inspector(ASI) attached to the Talakadu Police Station died of massive heart attack at his residence in Vivekananda Nagar of T. Narasipur on June 28.

ASI Nagaraju (59), transferred recently to Talakadu on promotion from T Narsipur was due for retirement. None of his family members was present, when ASI Nagaraju breathed his last.

When family members tried to reach him over phone throughout the night, they did not get any response and arrived at the residence this morning only to find ASI Nagaraju dead.

Original resident of Neralekere in Srirangapatna taluk, ASI Nagarju moved to Talakadu 9 months ago.

He is survived by a son and two daughters.

T Narsipur police registered a case and handed over the mortal remains to his family after autopsy.
