Mysuru: District SP Abhinav Khare clarified on Wednesday that a man who was detained at the Chief minister’s official residence for carrying a knife during the Janata Darshan has no criminal background.
On Monday morning, a man arrived at the CM’s residence to submit a petition. He managed to enter the premises, when a group of agitators were trying to enter the residence. The security personnel who conduct a thorough check, upon searching him, found an old rusted knife in his pocket. The security personnel immediately took him into custody, thereby bringing the situation under control.

After the questioning he was identified as H M Lingaraju from Mysuru.

SP while addressing a press meet said, “Lingaraju had a craze for politics. He had left his wife and son 20 years ago. Earlier, mentally disturbed Lingaraju was also admitted to NIMHANS and had received treatment there.”
