Mysuru: Another debt ridden farmer committed suicide at Gurupura gram panchayath limits in Hunsur taluk on Thursday, Janaury 14.

Venkataramashetty(70) is the deceased farmer.

He had borrowed a loan of Rs 3 lakhs from State Bank of Mysuru for agriculture purpose. He had also taken hand loan from others. Disappointed over the loan-burden and harrased by the moneylenders he allegedly took the extreme step.

He had also suffered crop loss due to drought. Hence on Thursday he consumed poison and was taken to hospital where he breathed his last.
