Mysuru: The annual Dasara exhibition will be formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on October 1. The expo will be opened for the public till December 26.
Shashi Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Karnataka Exhibition Authority said, “We are conducting the Mysuru Dasara exhibition grandly this year. A global tender for the 143 shops in the exhibition ground, amusement park and food shops are undertaken by ‘Fun world and resorts’ and have started their work of preparing the shops, amusement park, mono train and food court. Nearly 39 government departments are setting up the stalls in the exhibition and 30 zilla panchayats of the state are preparing to open their stalls this year”.
This year exhibition will be held for 86 days, that is between October 1 and December 26 and to address the parking issue for the visitors, special parking entrance from MG Road where around 500 cars, 800 two wheelers and 30 buses can be parked, have been arranged. Last year, the Seven Wonders of the World were the major attraction for the visitors while this year, replica of ‘Amaranath Yatra’ will be set up.
