Mysuru: “Agriculture has got more potential than any manufacturing Industry” Subramanian Swamy said.
India got immense natural resource which should be utilized well and agriculture should become a major export sector in India.
Throwing light on his averments, he said, “India is lucky that we can grow 3 crops per year which is the cheapest form of business and get you good profit. Agriculture therefore has the maximum potential in India. Not only agriculture, professions like dairy and fruit farming will place India in a higher level because India is producing milk and fruits which we can export to worldwide in bigger quantities”.
Speaking on the economy, he said, investment should be encouraged, tax should be reformed travelling should be made cheaper. He stressed on cutting the price of petrol and diesel.
He also reiterated the importance of sea water which can be used for domestic purpose after processing which may avoid conflicts over water in many states in India.
Taking a swipe at the Nehru Gandhi Dynasty, he said that the Indian mindset should be changed and risk should be taken in order to bring change in India because India has been damaged a lot by Nehru when he was PM just because he went unquestioned at that time. Nehru and the present Gandhi family failed in all aspects and also in making India a better nation, he said. On the other hand, praising the newest BJP icon, he said , Sardar Patel played a major role in convincing 500 kings to join the union after Independence
He expressed happiness that the birth rate in India gradually coming down which he said is good. “70% of Indian population is below 35 age which makes India as a young nation from which we can achieve a lot and develop but people are fighting in the name of caste, religion and region which has no base because all Indians are having same DNA which is already proved medically so there is no question of fighting among ourselves. All castes and religion should get equal opportunities in all sectors”.
Speaking on black money, he averred that the major account holders in swiss banks are from the political background, bureaucrats, lawyers. He reiterated that black money should be brought back, which would help the country maintain its growth. He said the present government has the ability to place India on an economic pedestal.
