Mysuru: After revaluation, L Rithish of Marimallappa School added two more marks to his total score which went up to 623/625 and thus emerged as the district topper along with G M Sudeep from the same school who too has scored 623 marks out of 625 marks in the SSLC examination held during April 2017. Earlier, Rithish had scored 621/625.
Though Rithish had secured centum in I Language Sanskrit, Math, Social studies and third language Hindi and 99 marks in English he was not happy with what he had scored in Science and hence he decided to apply for revaluation. After revaluation, Rithish who had earlier got 97 marks in Science got two more marks to take his tally in to 99 and overall score to 623 from 621 which enabled him to emerge as topper in the district along with G M Sudeep from the same school who too has scored the same total. He is the son of Lakshman B Nayak and Shobha.
Rithish sharing his joy said, “After the announcement of the results, I was not much happy with the marks which I had scored. Though I had expected out of out in science subject I was surprised when I found that I got 97 marks. Hence after bringing it to the notice of my teacher and parents I decided to go for revaluation. As expected, after revaluation I got two more marks in science. Now I am happy that I got the marks I deserve after revaluation. I want to dedicate this to my parents and also to all my teachers. My elder brother who is doing medicine and scored 608 marks in SSLC is my inspiration and I want to pursue my education in IIT.”
Meanwhile, G M Sudeep from the same school had emerged topper in the district by scoring 623 marks in SSLC exam. He had scored centum in Math, Science, Social Studies and Hindi (II Lang) and had lost just one mark each in Kannada (I Lang) and English.
