Mysuru: The police have unearthed several shocking information in connection to death of a married woman named Rakshitha.
The cops nabbed Sunil, who was working as driver of the Rakshitha (29). Her dead body was recovered in completely burn state couple of days ago.
Gold ornaments and cash summing up to Rs 17 lac was seized by the police from Sunil, who has revealed to police that he and Rakshitha had an extra-marital affair over the last one and half year. However, Rakshitha had come close to a minister from Uttar Kannada over FB and Sunil reportedly could not tolerate the growing closeness.
Once she got close to the Minister, she started neglecting Sunil, due to which he decided to kill her.
He said that Rakshitha given him lakhs of rupees and over half kilo of gold.
Sunil hailed from Ramanagar. His life had been a struggle for survival as he lived in acute poverty all his life. After learning driving from a local driving school, situation changed for him and his family only after he took up driver’s job for Rakshitha.
It is said that Rakshitha who had given lakhs of rupees to Sunil, abruptly stopped entertaining his financial demands after the minister came into her life.
She had started demanding Sunil to return the money that she had given him.
When he did not see any respite, he decided to kill her in the most barbaric manner.
He first slashed and beheaded her and then stashed the mutilated body into a suitcase and with his father’s help, he burnt the body in an isolated place.
However, police grew suspicious when Sunil stopped using his own mobile and made calls from other’s mobiles. Further, Sunil’s father purchasing petrol from a local petrol bunk too served as a crucial lead to the police in cracking this case.
