Mysuru: “Kannada is not just a language; it is our culture”, said well known writer, speaker and poet Aa Ra Mitra.

Inaugurating the Kannada Rajyotsava organized at Mahajana Education Institution on Saturday November 15, he said that Kannada language is very sweet and easy to speak but people are making it complex.

People of Karnataka are themselves hesitant to speak Kannada but people in abroad are proud and very fluent in Kannada comparatively, he stressed.

He further shared his experiences of speaking in Kannada and representing Karnataka in foreign countries.

The program was presided by R Vasudev Murthy, while Dr Vijaya Lakshmi Muralidhar Vice President, S Govinda Raju and Proff P Sarojamma were also present during the function.
