Mysore: ‘Yuva Dasara’ the festival of youth has commenced at Maharaja’s College Ground on Saturday.

Punith Raj Kumar, Kannada actor, inaugurated Yuva Dasara 2014. On his maiden visit to Yuva Dasara he wished all the participants good luck and he also said that he was glad to witness Yuva Dasara.

The documentary on women harassment by Mysore City Police was screened during the inauguration ceremony. P. Kumar addressed the gathering and highlighted the mutual respect deserved by the women of our society. He said that the women should be respected and it is our prime duty to do well in the society.

The star attraction of the musical evening was playback singer Krishna Kumar (K.K) who enthralled the audience. The tradition of allowing local and state-level artists to perform before the Bollywood divas take the state had been followed, as per the selection of  cultural teams from Yuva Sambharama and Grameen Dasara showcased their talent.
