Raju murder case: Accused sent to judicial custody

Mysuru: The District II JMFC court on Tuesday sent Abid Pasha, the prime accused in the RSS leader Raju murder case to 10 day police custody.

He was produced before the Mysuru district second JMFC court on Tuesday by CCB ACP Gopal Hosuru and inspector Prasanna Kumar who are investigating the case. The investigating team probing the case filed petition before the court seeking the custody of the prime accused.  

As per request from investigating officers, JMFC Judge Pavitra sent the accused for 10 days police custody as the police wants to interrogate the accused to know the whereabouts of others involved in the murder.

Raju, a small time right-wing leader was killed by notorious Abid and his associates on March 13, while he was sipping tea at a stall in Udayagiri limits of the city. The police formed four separate squads to nab the accused as the CCTV footages collected at the site of the murder remained unclear.
