Puttur: The residents in Shiradi village in Uppinangady has been asked not to use water from Kumaradhara river after a gas tanker fell onto the river here on Tuesday, August 9.
The incident occured near Udane while driver lost control over the vehicle after failing to avoid hitting another vehicle on the bridge. The engine of the tanker remained on the road.

Puttur police and fire personnel have rushed to the spot and the residents have been asked not to use the water following gas leakage.
