Shivamogga: In a truck-car collision, all the five members from one family died on the spot, here on Tuesday, April 30.

The deceased belonged to MESCOM  retired Assistant Executive Engineer Chandrappa’s family. His wife Mangala, son Manjunath, daughter Usha, son-in-law Neelakanta and grandson Nandeesh are the unfortunate victims.

While one of the sons deceased Neelakanta and Usha couple, Nandeesh died on spot, another child is admitted to McGANN District Hospital.

The family was reportedly, travelling for a farewell programme of MESCOM officers at Kumsi.

Meanwhile, the Kumsi Police rushed to the spot and conducted an inquest.
