Shivamogga: Condemning Hindu activist Atul Kumar, popularly known as ‘Madhugiri Modi’, for his controversial and provocative speech against Prophet Mohammed, the Sunni Jamiat Ulema staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday, February 19.

The protesters said that Madhugiri Modi had made derogatory statements against Prophet Mohammed and insulted and hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community. They also urged the concerned officials to arrest him immediately.

Later, the protesters submitted a memorandum demanding the arrest of Madhugiri Modi to the Additional Deputy Commissioner.
