Shivamogga: The District Administration has ordered to stop movement of vehicles in Agumbe Ghat till July 12 owing to heavy rains. The Ghat connects Shivamogga and Udupi Districts. There has been a landslide on a stretch of NH-169A.

According to the order, only light vehicles will be permitted on the stretch till the end of this month.

Further, the order adds that passengers can take following alternative routes. The commuters can travel on Thirthahalli – Koppa – Sringeri – Karkala – Mangaluru route or Thirthahalli – Mastikatte – Kundapura route or Thirthahalli – Agumbe – Sringeri – Karkala route.
