Shivamogga: The fire has engulfed the forest of Kattigehalla in Shikaripura Taluk of the District. The Forest Department has worked hard to douse the fire that broke out in the area of Thuppur in Choradi.

About 15 people from Kalmane, 6 Ambligolla have been deployed by the Forest Department. Smaller benches are being selected in front of them. The weedings and fireline were created earlier and this effect would be convenient to extinguish the fire.

The fire, which broke out has so far spread over a kilometre. Most of them managed to douse the fire.

It is suspected that the public is responsible for the fire of this magnitude
