Shivamogga: The Police have arrested a person on the charge of peddling Ganja from here on June 28.

Based on credible information a special team including ASP of Bhadravathi, DYSP of Shivamogga, PI, and staff of Kunsi police station nabbed a person transporting ganja while checking the vehicles at Karehalli check post.

The accused has been identified as Muruga (32) who was driving an Omni numbered KA-02MD6933. Police arrested the accused and seized the ganja worth Rs 5,83,000, a mobile phone, and an Omni vehicle.

The case has been registered in the local police station.
