Man held for poaching deer in Shettihalli Wild Life Sanctuary

Shivamogga: The forest officials have arrested a person for poaching a deer and attempting to smuggle its antlers at Thamadihalli in the Shettihalli Wild Life Sanctuary limits here on Tuesday, August 7.

The accused is identified as Raju, a resident of Thamaddihalli. According to forest department officials, two more accused Madhu Thavare Koppa and Nagaraj Yerebisu are still at large.

Forest officials have registered a case under Indian Forest Act 1927.

The arrest was made under the directions of Range Forest Officer K Ravi.
