Shivamogga: Kumara Dodige under Kuruvalli of Theerthahalli town adjacent to Theerthahalli – Koppa road of Mangaluru – Chitradurga National Highway 169 has began facing threat of huge landslide with slow collapse of a hill in the village.

There exists hundreds of houses in the region that is adjacent to the road that has continuous movement of heavy vehicles. Hence, the residents of the region now have urged the District Administration to direct the concerned engineers and Theerthahalli Tahsildar to take appropriate action in this regard. 

‘The slow sliding of the soil is a sign of major threat in forthcoming days, but despite that no precautionary measures have been taken by the officers concerned, allege the local residents.
