Shivamogga: K M Shantharaju took charge as the new Superintendent of Police of the Shivamogga district on Saturday, August 3. He was welcomed by outgoing SP Dr Ashwini, who also handed the charge over to him.

Speaking to the press, Shantharaju said that he is not new to the district as he had served in Shivamogga as the DySP in the past. He also said that maintaining law and order is the priority of the department and measures will be taken in this direction.

“There will be no compromise when it comes to maintaining law and order,” he said.

Lauding the people-friendly measures already adopted by the department he said that many more plans will be implemented in the same direction.
