Shivamogga: In a ghastly accident involving a private bus and car, five persons died near Manchale village on the outskirts of Sagar town in Shivamogga district on April 19.

Three men and two women were among the deceased, all residents of Nadahalli village in Soraba taluk.

The car got crushed beyond recognition in the accident resulting in the loss of lives.

The collision took place between a private bus and car on the outskirts of Sagar town, when the car driver tried to evade a biker who came mid way.

Sagar police regsitered a case and are  investigating further.
