Shivamogga: The Vice President of Primary Land Development (PLD) Bank, Chamaraja (45) was killed in a ghastly accident that occurred at Malala Gadde on Sagara Road here on July 2.

Reportedly, Chamaraja and one of the directors of PLD Bank Mallikarjun were returning after attending a wedding here. However, the man behind the wheels lost control and the car hit a mango tree beside the road. Chamaraja died on the spot.

When reports last came in, Mallikarjun was in a critical condition.
