Shivamogga: Son of BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa and candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Shivamogga seat, B Y Raghavendra (BYR) filed his nomination papers today at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here.

He was accompanied by his wife Tejaswini Raghavendra, MLAs K S Eshwarappa and Haratalu Halappa and MLC S Rudre Gouda.

BYR’s father, however, was missing from the scene as, reportedly, his helicopter could not take off from Bengaluru due to a technical snag.

According to party sources, BSY and former chief minister S M Krishna were slated to arrive in Shivamogga by chopper at around 12.40 PM but were unable to make it.
