Hassan: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy made it clear that there was no change in his stand on the selection of JD (S ) candidate from Hassan Constituency and indirectly hit out at his brother H. D. Revanna’s family, saying he would not bow down to those who threaten him.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said we have already clarified this two or three times. Our family members are ready to bow down at a time when the growth of the party is a key necessity for us.
There is no question of making changes in areas where it is not necessary, he noted.
“If anything like this is done, it will lead to criticism and confusion among the workers, so there is no change in my stand,” he said.
“There is already a capable candidate in Hassan Assembly Constituency and I have decided not to create confusion. Therefore, there is no change in my stand,” said Kumaraswamy.
Kumaraswamy added the second list of JD (S) candidates would be released in the next two to three days. “We are a regional party and we will not sit in Delhi and take a decision,” he expressed.
