Hassan: MLA H. K. Kumaraswamy has suggested that the State Government should appoint officers from State to top posts, including IAS and IPS, from now on.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava programme organised by the Sahitya Parishat Hettur Hobli unit at Hettur in Sakaleshpura Taluk of the District on Thursday November 24. “We have appointed officials from other states for most of the top government posts in the State. However, a lot of people in State have passed the Indian Public Service examination. He said the Government should recognise them and allow them to serve in State in the coming days.

“At the Hobli level, we need to be more aware of the Kanmada language. We have to show our strength and ourselves. We do not lack unity and willpower. Yet somewhere we are making a mistake. Just the other day, the people of Maharashtra have once again raised their voices, he said. T

“Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has given a befitting reply to that. We have many pro-Kannada organisations. Many others are quietly working to save the language. We have eight Jnanpitha awardees. This language has received a lot of respect, he noted.

There are hundreds of names like Kuvempu, De. Ja. Gow, Gorur Ramaswamy etc. as the number of people who respect Kannada language in the country has increased. He said hundreds of individuals have energised the Kannada language.
