Hassan: The meeting, which had raised expectations in the JD(S) camp, was confined to Arasikere Constituency only. It seemed like the purpose of the meeting was to wage war against JD (S) MLA K. M. Shivalinge Gowda.
Hitting out at Shivalinge Gowda throughout the meeting, the Leaders said Shivalinge Gowda, who has grown to this level since Deve Gowda, did not show courtesy to meet him even during his ill health. All expressed their unhappiness over this.
Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy attacked K. M. Shivalingegowda. “MLA who has already quit the JD (S) is planning to form an alliance with the Congress and said that the JD(S) will not only retain its dominance in the next Assembly elections but will also teach a lesson to those who have betrayed the party and turned their backs,” Kumaraswamy added.
Addressing a huge public meeting organised by JD (S) at ground near Ananta International in the City will be held, he said that Shivalingegowda, who lost by 18 votes from Gandasi Constituency in 2004, and it was Minister H. D. Revanna and Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda then in Arsikere Constituency who tried to build confidence in him. Shivalinge Gowda should not forget them, he said.
