Hassan: With just a few weeks to go for the assembly elections, I am looking forward to getting a ticket from the JDS and eagerly waiting for it, said HP Swaroop, a strong aspirant for the JDS ticket and former zilla panchayat vice-president.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of birthday celebrations in front of his residence in the city, Hegde said that he was confident that the name of hassan assembly constituency candidate would be announced in the next two to three days and his name would be included in the list.

He is already busy campaigning for the party in the constituency and everyone, including party workers, is working with enthusiasm. I am looking forward to my name being announced in the second list. I and my party workers have decided to work unitedly if any candidate is given a ticket for the constituency and abide by the decision of former Prime Minister and senior leaders HD Deve Gowda, HD Kumaraswamy and Revanna on the issue of ticket announcement,” he said.
