Hassan: MLA H. D. Revanna inaugurated the construction of hostel buildings and various sub-divisional offices in the Town.
He laid foundation stone on Friday March 17 for the The Backward Classes and Minority Hostel (BCM) and Post-matric women’s hostel building for the accommodation facility of 500 students at a cost of Rs. 5 Crore adjacent to the Government First Grade Women’s College.
He inaugurated the Public Work Development Special Sub-Divisional Office and National Highways Sub-Divisional Office at a cost of Rs. 4 Crore at the PWD Department premises on Arakalagud Road. “Work is being started at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 Crore for the construction of a 2-storey building of backward and minority women’s hostel. In the coming days, funds will be brought in for the construction of two more floors,” he said.
He said this would lead to the construction of a well-equipped four-storey hostel building for the next academic year.
