Hassan: Tahasildar Mamata M visited the place after there was an accidental fire in Somanahalli Village of Halebidu Hobli in Belur Taluk and caused huge damage.

55,000 in cash from the house of Puttaraju, a cycle and a TVS Excel bike from Nagaraju’s house, 6000 in cash, five drums of rice from Iramma’s house, 5000 in cash, 1000 in cash from Sarita’s house, 10,000 in cash from Putta Mallaiah’s house and 10,000 in cash were lost and damaged. All other household items including cash, silver, gold, pulses and clothes were completely burnt.

Although the fire brigade personnel extinguished the fire, 6 houses were also burnt. Six houses have been gutted and these families have been. rendered homeless.

Basic amenities are provided by the Gram Panchayat to temporarily aggrieved families. Halebidu PSI S. G. Patil Gram Panchayat President along with villagers and family members were aggrieved.
