Hassan: The back of the house collapsed due to heavy rains last year. They brought it to the notice of the Gram Panchayat to get repairs done but to no avail. S. Virupaksha, a young entrepreneur and a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, bengaluru, who spent his own money on two elderly women, Eeramma of Keshavanagar in Arehalli in Belur taluk and Bhyramma of Indiranagar, with the help of the members of S. Virupaksha Fan Club, created a temporary shelter.
Mahendra, a member of S Virupaksha Friends Association, said that the houses where the elderly were staying were inconvenient as they were stuck due to heavy rains last year. The needy elderly brought it to the notice of the Gram Panchayat to repair the houses but to no avail. So a young entrepreneur who is famous in the field of social service, S. Virupaksha’s fan club took note of the plight of women and personally took care and constructed a makeshift shelter. He said that the public has appreciated the work of the young entrepreneur and the youth. Kumar, Sharath, Viraju, Pradeep, Hoovamma, Bhadresh, Abhi and others were present.
