Hassan: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy said, “I don’t have family attachment. My family is the six and a half crore people of the State. The list of candidates for Hassan Constituency will be released in the next three to four days,” he promised.

While travelling from Sringeri to Bengaluru, the activists met H. D. Kumaraswamy at Subedar Circle on Hassan Ring Road in the City. Kumaraswamy’s vehicle was besieged.

Addressing JD (S) workers, he stood in an open vehicle and spoke for sometime.Though he did not mention the name H. P. Swaroop, he made a speech without hurting the activists and got applause.

Some JD(S) workers expressed their anger in disappointment and insisted on announcing Swaroop’s name soon. So Kumaraswamy told the workers to be quiet.

Then, while making a public speech, he said, “My health is not good. I have come here just not to disappoint the workers.”

Kumaraswamy appealed to people to remain calm and for sometime he was furious. Later he said, it is not difficult for us to win 40 to 50 seats in the State. What can I do with it? We have to be strengthened by giving us a full majority of seats,” he added.

“When I became Chief Mnister twice, I contributed to Hassan District. I have signed many developmental works in Hassan without any hesitation. Hassan cannot be left to ruins this easily,” he said.
