Chikkamagaluru: State legislator and Minister for Cooperation and Sugar, H S Mahadeva Prasad expired in the city after suffering a heart attack. The Minister was 58 years old when he passed away in a private resort located in Chikkamagaluru.

He was on a visit to the city to take part in the silver jubilee celebrations of the district Sahakaara Saarige. He was in his room when he expired of a cardiac arrest. His family members had mentioned that he had undergone a bypass surgery due to a mild heart attack four years ago.
