Chikkamagaluru: Chikkamagaluru S P Annamalai popular as Singham has been doing various experiments to encourage and bring in efficiency among the police officials since the time he had taken over as SP of Udupi.
Now with a post of SP in Chikkamagaluru, he is once again all out to strengthen his colleagues here. A sports tournament for the police is being held in the district in a grand manner. While every official from the district has actively participated in the tournament, the SP has announced a bumper offer for the constables and head constables.

Since there will be transfers in the month of April, the SP has asked the constables to reduce their weight by atleast 5 kilos in four months and the successful will be transferred to whichever station they ask for!

Healthy and fit cops will more efficiently work towards a healthy society is what Singham SP believes. Hence, he has asked them his colleagues to be fit enough to serve the public effectively. He has also kept a weighing machine at the stations under him for regular monitoring of weight. He has also assured to exert pressure on the IG for the bumper offer if the constables and head constables managed to reduce their weight.

The constables across the district have given thumbs up to the new initiative of their dear SP and are working towards reducing weight in four months and get transferred as per their wish.

Not only the staff in his department but also the public has lauded the SP’s initiative.

Earlier too SP Annamalai had used the same tactic in Udupi and as many as 13 constables had succeeded in it. It will be interesting to see how many constables in Chikkamagaluru will be able to reduce their weight and earn their place of choice after April.
