Mangaluru Cycling Club, Chikkamagaluru Cycling Club and All India Rando News had organised “Monsoon Coffee Magic 200 km Brevet Cycle Ride” for the first time.
Over 45 cyclists pedaled from Chikkamagaluru to Kuppalli Kavimane in Shivamogga and returned to the district in 13 hours.
Cyclists from Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Tamil Nadu and Kerala joined SP Annamalai in the cycling event wearing helmets.
This is an attempt to create awareness among youth about fitness and cycling, said SP Annamalai. He was the first IPS officer of SP grade to participate in the cycling event along with common men.
When Annamalai reached Bhadra coffee shop in Balehonnur, several of his excited fans gathered around him and posed for selfies.
