Chikkamagaluru: State tourism minister C T Ravi recently called Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and former chief minister Siddaramaiah a ‘black spot’ on the state and on the lives of the poor.

Addressing the media on Sunday, February 9, he said, “When Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister of the state, he had reserved funds for the construction of about 11 lakh houses, but the construction work could not be completed. He is the prime reason for this.”

“When he was in power, he allotted funds only for the construction of two-three lakh houses. As the 2018 Assembly elections were inching closer, he gave a green signal for the construction of 11 lakh houses. Because of such a decision, now the economically backward section of people is on the roads. They are now shedding tears. This is all because of Siddaramaiah. He is a ‘black spot’ on this state,” the minister said.
