Chikkamagaluru: The police have seized cash from Kottigehara checkpost during a vehicle check-up held ahead of the elections.
The Ramanagara-based car, which was coming from Mangaluru side towards Kottigehara, was checked and Rs. 1 Lakh was found in the front dashboard of the car. As there were no records about the money, the police seized the vehicle and the cash and registered a case.

Circle Inspector Somegowda visited the spot, and conducted an inspection.
