Chikkamagaluru: The leaders of Pro-Hindu organisations staged a massive protest in Jagara here on Saturday February 25 demanding action against those who have illegally infiltrated into the Country from Bangladesh and are working in various coffee plantations in the District and are oppressing the locals themselves.
A Gram Panchayat member under Ulavathi Gram Panchayat limits in Jagara Hobli, who was assaulted by Bangladeshi immigrant Muslims in a private estate company last week, and the villagers and labourers who were assaulted, staged a protest in Jagara Hobli and submitted a memorandum to the Gram Panchayat and the Police Department while also collecting signatures.
Jagara Chalo was organised by Chikkamagaluru with the support of Pro-Hindu organisations like Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Sri Rama Sene, Vande Mataram Trust and Kamdhenu Gaushala.
All pro-Hindu organisations participated in the protest along with the villagers and warned of a violent protest the next day if the illegally arrived Bangladeshi Rohingyas were not deported.
Bajrang Dal District Co-coordinator Amit Gowda, Vishwa Hindu Parishad cizty President Auto Shivanna, Sri Rama Sene District President Ranjit Shetty, Bajrang Dal City Co-ordinator Shyam V. Gowda, Eka Mataram Trust preszident Pritesh, Gram Panchayat Member Janakiram and hundreds of villagers were present on the occasion.
