Chikkamagaluru: AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited Sringeri Sri Sharada Peetham in the District and offered prayer to the deity.
She then proceeded to Guru Bhavan and met the junior Sri Vidhushekhara Bharathi Swamiji and sought his blessings. On this occasion, the Seer blessed her and presented a memento.
From there she went straight to Balehonnur Srirambhapuri Matha. On this occasion, she took the blessings of Gajaraja.
Speaking to mediapersons outside the temple premises, she said, “A Congress Government is certain to come in the state. People are fed up with the misrule of the BJP Government. People have decided to change the BJP Government, she said.
“It has implemented pro-people schemes implemented by the previous Congress Government. The Congress Government will come to power in Karnataka this time. Earlier, I had visited the matha along with my father and had a darshan of the Goddess, she recalled.
