Chikkamagaluru: District Cooperative Bank Director M. S. Niranjan said that Lingayat Veerashaiva Samaj was trying to raise slogans against C. T. Ravi, which is far from the truth. The social media is spreading misinformation about Lingayat Veerashaiva Samaj as BJP has not been given importance to them, he said.
Speaking at a press conference, he said, “Some perverted minds have spread false news on social media. There is no information that which newspaper clip is posted on social media and on what date the statement was made in that newspaper. Following this, BJP District President Kalmarudappa and party leaders lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Circle Inspector, he said.
As a four-time MLA C. T. Ravi has been doing politics by taking people from all communities not only in his Assembly Constituency but also at the State level and at the National level into confidence. And all communities in the Constituency are given representation in elections and nominations.
C. T. Ravi, who was earlier an MLA from Chikkamagalur Constituency in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections contested and wobiver Srikantappa, and was instrumental in securing a margin of 24,870 votes from the Constituency, he said.
