Chikkamagaluru: An inter-faith couple was assaulted here by members of Hindu organisations.

According to sources, the Lakshmipuram residents were engaged to get married at the Sub-Registrar’s as they were in love.

However, a few members of Hindu organisations stepped in and stopped the marriage.

The boy is said to have filed a complaint against four persons, accusing them of assaulting the duo, said Superintendent of Police Uma Prashanth.
