Chikkaballapur: The State government has decided to hold ‘Vaccination Utsav’ once a week to speed up the Covid vaccination process.

Dr. K Sudhakar, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, made an announcement in this regard here on Sunday August 29.

Every week, one day will be designated as Covid Vaccination Utsav in the State. According to the sources, this project would be launched soon by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking to the media persons at Sadali, Sidlaghatta taluk, Dr. Sudhakarat said, “Every day, we aim to administer a minimum of five lakh doses of vaccine. In addition, one day a week would be designated as a ‘Utsav,’ with the goal of vaccinating 15 to 20 lakh people on that day.”

He further stated that, four crore doses of Covid vaccination have been administered in the State as of August 27.
