Karwar:  Kumta police have apprehended an individual involved in the production of counterfeit Aadhaar and PAN cards. The accused, Dileep B from Chennarayapatnam Taluk in Hassan District, was arrested by R. Rajegowda and subsequently presented in court.

Subraya Kadekodi filed a complaint with the Kumta police station regarding the alteration and unauthorized use of the Aadhaar card documents under the name of Shamanta Kadekodi, who is deceased and is the son of Subraya Kadekodi, a resident of Hegde in Kumta taluk.

A team led by Police Inspector Thimmappa Nayka and PSI Navina Nayka, who registered the case, conducted an investigation and arrested the accused. The arrested accused, Dileep, was copying the Aadhaar card and PAN cards of the deceased using his own software. A case has been registered not only in different parts of the state but also in the CID of the same act, not only by using it to buy an iPhone in Goa and cheating.
