Yadgir: Tow people died on the spot when their car hit a bridge over the left bank main canal on the outskirts of Rajanakollur village in the taluk.
The deceased have been identified as Parasappa Chalavadi (32) and Mallikajuna Madivalara (35), who was driving the car.
According to sources, the incident happened when the car was moving from Balashettyhal village toward Narayanapura village. The driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the bridge wall of the left bank canal. Both persons died on spot owing to the impact of the collision.
DySP T. Manjunath and CPI M.B. Chikkana visited the spot and held an inspection. A case has been registered in this regard at the Kodekkal Police Station.
