Raichur: In a tragic incident, a pillion rider of a bike was killed on the spot in a road accident near Bedara Karalakunti Village in Maski Taluk of the District at around 11.00 pm on Friday December 23.

The deceased has been identified as Shivagyanappa Talawara (38), a resident of Yaraganti Village in Lingasuguru Taluk. The rider was not injured in the accident.

The incident took place when he was on his way to Lingasuguru from Maski on a bike. After the bike rider slipped and fell down, the lorry rammed over pillion rider. Police have taken action to trace the truck.

PSI Siddharam Bidarani visited the spot and registered a case.
