Raichur: A farmer named Basavaraj from Gonala village in Raichur taluk took his own life on Monday. Despite earning lakhs of rupees from cultivating toor on five acres of land, he had accumulated significant debt.
Overwhelmed by the financial burden, he reportedly attempted suicide by consuming poison on Monday and was admitted to a hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries today.
