Surat: In a distressing incident, four labourers, originally from Bihar, lost their lives while engaged in the cleaning of a septic tank in Pansala. The unfortunate event unfolded as two workers fell unconscious inside the tank. In an attempt to rescue them, two additional labourers also succumbed to unconsciousness.
The Pansala police station reported that all four individuals were promptly removed from the septic tank and rushed to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, doctors declared them dead. The authorities are currently working to confirm the identities of the deceased labourers.
This tragic incident highlights the dangers associated with manual cleaning of septic tanks, emphasizing the need for strict safety measures and proper training in such operations to prevent future mishaps.
