Koppal: Divorce cases compromised in Rashtriya Lok Adalat

Koppal: There are many cases that could have been compromised are resolved due to the Rashtriya Lok Adalat. In a rare incident, four couples, who had filed for divorce at the Rashtriya Lok Adalat held at a court in Gangavathi on Saturday February 11, decided to live together again with the intervention of judges and lawyers.

Srinivas and Thulasi, Viresh and Janakamma, Linganna and Mamta, as well as Dayamanna Nayaka and Anasuya had filed for divorce through a lawyer before a local court for divorce due to some minor differences of opinion and had been approaching the Court for the past several months. Observing that some of the couples had young children, the petitioner’s counsel urged them to counsel the family members, village leaders and the couple to bring happiness to their children and thus again live together.

At the Rashtriya Lok Adalat, four couples agreed for a compromise and decided to exchange garlands in the presence of judges and lawyers and proceeded towards a new life.
