Koppal: In a shameful incident, a JD(S) activist slapped a woman party worker during a meet on Saturday in Koppal district.
The incident was caught on camera and visuals have gone viral on social media.

A meeting was being held to discuss the issue of extending support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in district municipality on Saturday.

Meanwhile,  Vijaya Hirematt a woman party worker did not raised hand in support of a BJP candidate. Enraged Chennappa Yadavar, a JD(S) worker slapped the woman.

JD (S) leader Danish Ali reacting to the incident said that action would be taken against the accused.

“Whether it is our party councillor or any other, we condemn it. It is unpardonable. We do not approve such type of incidents…. There is not place for such assault on women in civilised society,” he said.
