Bidar: Prohibitory orders have been imposed in Balki of Bidar district after tense situation prevailed in the region following clash between two groups that occurred on Friday after holi celebrations.

Police even resorted to shelling teargas and also wielded lathi at the mob. In the incident 16 persons including one ASI and three constables were injured. SP Prakash Nikam and other top police officials have camped in the tension gripped Balki.
DAR, KSRP platoon have been pressed in to action. Meanwhile, miscreants pelted stones at over 15 buses that were parked at bus stand here. Canteen, bakery and various other shops at the bus stand were also damaged.
It is said that on Thursday, one group was playing holi and accidentally the holi colours splashed on the compound wall of a religious centre. Spotting this, another group objected and the same argument snowballed into a crisis.
On Friday, as a spill over, a gang reached the same religious place of worship again with loads of colours. This only fueled further tension.
