Bidar: Ekta Foundation has been doing well in Aurad and Kamlanagar Taluks for many years, socially, economically, religiously and in other areas. As per the wishes of Ram bhakts of Kamalanagara Taluk, the Ekta Foundation had decided to celebrate Sri Ram Navami on April 1. However, at a press conference in Kamalanagar, Ravindra Swamy alleged that the shobha yatra and Ram bhakts have been insulted.
Speaking to mediapersons he said that in the adjoining Bhalki, permission will be granted to take out a procession of the grand idol of Lord Ram in the presence of devotees on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami. Djs will be allowed to be installed, thousands of people will be allowed to attend the event. But in Kamalanagar alone, all this is not permitted, why? Why was there such a strict restriction on the celebration of Ram Navami? That is the question of thousands of Ram bhakts along with me,” he said.
Ekta Foundation had decided to celebrate Ram Navami on behalf of the foundation even before the election code of conduct was scheduled. However, some officials of the department had stopped the celebration of Ram Navami freely as they were behaving like puppets in the hands of MLA Prabhu Chavan. The names of such officers will be listed and a complaint will be submitted to the Election Commission soon.
“What is the justice of those in public service, getting salaries from the government and behaving like puppets in the hands of MLAs,” he said, adding that elections cannot be held in Aurad Constituency in a transparent manner by such officials.
The matter will be brought to the notice of the Election Commission. Therefore, he requested Deputy Commissioner and the District Superintendent of Police to keep such officers in control and provide equal opportunities to all.
