Bidar: Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu B. Chavan has said that security should be taken care of during Holi, the festival of colours.

In a press release, the Minister stated, “The festival of Holi has an important place in India. Holi is celebrated as a symbol of the victory of good over evil.”

“The use of dyes containing toxic chemical substances can adversely affect the skin and eyes. Therefore, it is advisable to give priority to the use of colours that are certified as natural and safe as possible in the celebration of Holi,” he noted.

“The festival should be celebrated in a peaceful and harmonious manner without forcing anyone to get coloured during the festive season,” he urged. The Minister wished that the festival of colours bring prosperity to the country.
